Info Day/AGM 3rd November 2018

Our 2018 Info Day/AGM agenda has now been finalised and is detailed below. The day concentrates on treatment of MPGN/DDD/C3G both future and current plus some of the development that is taking place to bring future treatments to patients.

10:30 – 11:00 Arrival/Registration

11:00 – 11:10 Steve Richardson, MPGN/DDD Support Group Chair – a short update on our group and introduction to the day’s theme.

11:10 – 11:40 Dr Edwin Wong, Consultant Nephrologist, Clinical lead for C3G within the National Renal Complement Therapeutic Centre / Chair of the MPGN/C3G Rare Disease Group – speaking about RADAR, the rare disease database, and associated RADAR activities.

11:40 – 12:10 Professor Claire Harris, Professor of Molecular Immunology, Complement Therapeutics Research Group – an overview of the pipeline of treatments that are currently being trialled.

12:10 – 13:10 Marc Uknis, M.D.
Vice President of Clinical Development, Head of Nephrology Therapeutics, Achillion – C3G Causes, disease classification & the Achillion Development Programme (Michael Geffner, M.D., M.B.A. Senior Vice President, Global Medical Affairs will also be attending to help answer audience questions)

13:10 – 14:10 Lunch

14:10 – 14:40 Hannah Lomax-Browne, Research Associate, Imperial College, London – an update on the C3G Natural Histories Study

14:40 – 15:10 Professor Matthew Pickering, Professor of Rheumatology, Imperial College, London – a general update on C3G and an update on the Phase 2 Factor D Inhibitor Trial

15:10 – 15:40 Dr Tom Cairns, Hammersmith Hospital – current C3G treatments including kidney transplantation

15:40 – 16:00 Trustees – charity business/closing remarks etc
